EP Hafstein was born in Reykjavik, Iceland, in 1951. He is a retired teacher but works constantly on his research concerning light and sound and their effects on human beings. He studied to become a teacher in Iceland but later went to Sweden for further education. There, he studied Sanskrit and Education. After he completed his studies, he taught in both Sweden and Iceland. EP Hafstein has translated and interpreted the scripture Bhagavad Gita from Sanskrit and uses his translation in many of his articles about esoterism.
